Our legislative team and local affiliate leaders worked extremely hard during this challenging session to advocate for the rights of our members across the Commonwealth.
We were more than disappointed with the Governor’s veto of our collective bargaining bill and will be formally strategizing with our labor coalition partners to bring this proposed legislation back next year.
We are also still awaiting finalization on several other pieces of legislation in the Commonwealth of Virginia’s budget, which has yet to be finalized.
As final decisions are made on our proposed legislation and priorities, we will highlight them in this section.
