Every day, Virginia’s fire fighters face toxic environments and risk for occupational cancer. On January 15, 2019, join us in walking in remembrance of fallen fire fighters and in calling upon lawmakers to protect fire fighters from deadly on-the-job diseases. Our walk starts at Richmond Fire Station 13 and concludes at Capitol Square. Public participation is welcome.
Route – Richmond Fire Station 13 (411 E Commerce Road) to Capitol Square. The distance is approximately 1.8 miles.
Participants should arrive at Fire Station 13 by 9:00 a.m. The walk will commence at 9:30 a.m.
Designated parking has been established adjacent to the starting point. Upon arriving at Fire Station 13, vehicles will be directed to specified location. Arrangements have been made to provide secure parking.
